In US Government agencies, including those in the Intelligence Community and the Department Of Defense, the correct/official explanation of the acronym "OBE" is "Overcome By Events".. As "The Agency" (2024 release from the UK; 10 episodes ranging from 50 to 60 min) opens, we are introduced to Martian, a CIA operative who is abruptly called back to London after 6 years in Africa. Upon arriving at his new apartment in London, he discovers that there are listening devices planted throughout.

We then go to Belarus, where a man, clearly drunk, gets in his car and after being chased by Belarusian police, he crashes but survives. At this point we are 10 minutes into Episode 1.A couple of comments: this mini-series is based on the highly acclaimed earlier French TV series "Le Bureau des Legendes". As Episode 1 unfolded, there is a LOT going on (at least 3 parallel story lines), and it took me a while to see and understand the bigger picture.
The remaining eight episodes will be released weekly on Sunday evenings
By the time we are in Episode 2, I was fully invested in this, as there is tension and drama everywhere. This mini-series benefits quite a bit from the excellent lead performance by Michael Fassbender (as the Martian). At the end of Episode 2, I was (and am) ready for more.
