These missing instructions from this obtained ISO file may be crucial to the successful
installation and later use of the product as follows:

(Automatic file updates from Microsoft are fine)

Burn the iso file to a blank DVD5 using a DVD burner and a program such as PowerISO (available in a separate torrent download)
to create a bootable installation disk.

When installing Windows, sometimes/even very often you will see an annoying
message from the Windows operating system installation procedure section that says that the hard drive you want to install Windows on
“cannot be used with Windows” (because it is partitioned using either MBR or GPT – two variants of the options in use), when it should
simply say that it needs to switch from one type to the other
depending on what type of partition is required in order to
continue.

Once this happens, simply access the command prompt from the initial install screen (Shift F10), then type the following

commands

diskpart

list disk

select disk 0 (if that’s the correct disk number)

clean (this will delete what’s on the disk – Windows often

won’t proceed without the CLEAN command – saying it can’t convert

when you use this command – which, by the way, it doesn’t tell you to use)

convert MBR (or convert GPT) This is the final command

to convert to whatever partition format type Windows requires for the

particular install you’re doing.

EXIT

If the CLEAN command is inappropriate for you (e.g. if you want to

keep some data on your hard drive, use a program like EASUS

– also available for download from torrent sites) to

convert the partition type anyway before installing that copy of Windows.
