In the timeless town of Macondo, seven generations of the Buendía family struggle with love, forgetfulness, and the inevitability of their past and destiny. This is Netflix’s most expensive project in Latin America to date, with Colombian groups and indigenous communities creating props and sets for the series. I read this novel in 2018. After finishing it, I looked for any movies or series based on this novel and I didn’t find anything that surprised me. Marquez created an entire world with great craftsmanship, wonderful characters, and events that will be remembered forever. As for the series, what a series! Often, when a movie or series is adapted from a novel, the novel is much better, with the exception of a few works. And this series definitely managed to adapt the novel properly and bring this wonderful world to the small screen. For those who are hesitant to watch this series, believe me, there is nothing more important than watching a series that you can spend time with.. “One Hundred Years of Solitude” is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month.
