Loveable. He is Dexter Morgan, America’s favorite serial killer who spends his days solving crimes and his nights committing them. In season 8, Angel Batista was not always played by David Zayas. His son, David Zayas Jr., stands in for his father in some shots, as the two look so much alike.
Appeared at the 64th Annual Golden Globe Awards (2007)
Dexter has a large scar on his left side in the first season. Later in the second season, the scar moved to his right side, leaving his left side unmarked. Dexter Morgan: I’ve lived in the dark for a long time. Over the years, my eyes got used to it, until the darkness became my world and I saw…

In the field of cinematography and screenwriting, it is recommended to limit the narration of the characters so that the actions, conversations and scenes speak for themselves. However, if there is an exception, and this name is Dexter! From the beginning, I was fascinated by the character of Dexter – a dark, introverted individual. The strength of the character development was evident, which was confirmed by the impeccable casting and the engaging, crime-filled story.
Seasons 1 and 2 were exceptional standouts and received a commendable 9/10 rating
However, the quality of the show began to decline later. The introduction of new characters and excessive drama made the once classic series difficult. Despite my love for the character, I felt a gradual decline in her charm, including Debra’s. The writing and direction were solid, but Dexter himself took center stage as the portrayal of dark humor remained a prominent aspect.
However, I must emphasize that the first two seasons are a must watch and must not be missed
His narration throughout the episodes was a unique perspective where we got to know how he perceives things, people and crime; it was absolutely captivating. I recommend this series, but I encourage viewers to approach it at their own pace and choose the number of seasons.
