Two women with conflicting lives come together. One struggles to survive after being kicked out by his mother while the other runs a successful business. I’m actually surprised by how much I was interested in this series. I watched it in one evening and I must say Tyler Perry did a good job here. It was like one of those telenovelas. Mallory’s character and also Kimmi annoyed me a lot. Kimmie was portrayed as a character with no language to express her opinion, no personality. It was so sad. If I had the kind of mother she had, I would literally never look back except for my siblings. He was too pathetic, too shy, he hardly met anyone. There were also parts that developed so slowly and too much emphasis was placed on parts that had no meaning unlike parts like the Rain character. Damn, this girl was forgotten so quickly. There’s no doubt about it. All in all, it’s worth watching and will keep your interest so give it a try. A decent 6 because the acting was average.
