Tale
A grief therapist begins telling her clients exactly what she thinks
Ignoring her training and ethics, she finds herself making huge changes in people’s lives – including her own, and Bill Lawrence was asked how they got Harrison Ford on the show.
Segel said Goldstein originally wanted a “Harrison” Type Ford,” and I was going to audition people similar to Ford
Segel told Goldstein that they should at least pitch it to Ford first, figuring he would turn it down immediately, but at least other people would hear that Harrison Ford had carried the project, sparking interest from other notable actors.
Ultimately, Goldstein talked to Ford and sold him the role
Goldstein still doesn’t understand what he did to convince him, but he was thrilled nonetheless.
I watched the first two episodes and found them captivating
Part of the reason is that I discovered there was something real based on a therapist who needs therapy and wants to connect with his patients to unexpectedly solve his own problems that other therapists would have to do, and that’s abundantly clear.
That being said, I appreciate the depth of the characters that don’t seem like caricatures; they are people I want to know
I didn’t get into the silly situations of other shows like Loot, but it’s still early in the series and I’ll keep watching.
