The main theme was performed by Rolfe Kent, written by Rolfe Kent, presented at the 64th Annual Golden Globe Awards (2007). Absolutely brilliant. The visual contrast between the darkness of Dexter’s secret life and the brightness of Miami adds an almost surreal quality.
The creators of this series should also look into the books of Andrew Wachas
The character development is driven by money, and as the premise is gradually introduced, one can see the growth of Dexter’s socialist personality and his confusion of human behavior with his own. Dexter is an actor in his own life; the relationships of his colleagues and his personal life are perfectly displayed in the visual media. It’s a dark job, as he is a specialist in bloodstains, but it takes place in the strange world of Miami life.
